EVERY MONTH IS EARTH MONTH: Aether Map

Aether Map is a Figma-based prototype designed to help people stay safe in emergencies by sharing real-time updates on fire outbreaks and air quality levels. This project was created with a focus on elders and firefighters—those who often face the greatest risk but the most barriers in quickly accessing digital information.

In cities like New York, where buildings are dense and air quality can shift rapidly, it’s crucial for people to receive clear and fast alerts. Aether Map simplifies this process with a clean, readable interface showing real-time fire zones and AQI levels. The visual design uses large icons, bold colors, and minimal navigation, ensuring that even those less familiar with technology can use it with ease.

Beyond alerts, Aether Map builds a sense of community by allowing users to request and offer help. Whether it’s needing assistance during an evacuation or checking in on a neighbor, the platform connects people through mutual care.

This project reimagines safety not just as information delivery, but as a shared responsibility, empowering people to support and protect one another in moments that matter.
